Stage 1

Sowing, growing and harvesting

In our farmers’ fields

To eat well, you must first grow wellIt all begins in the fields of our cooperative farmers, who patiently prepare the land, taking good care of the beans from the sowing stage onwards. 90 days later, the harvest can finally begin. After being mechanically separated from their leaves in the field, our beans are emptied into trucks and quickly transported to our nearest factory. Once there, the initial quality checks are carried out with a sample being taken, which is immediately analysed by our teams to check its compliance. The batch is then labelled, to guarantee its traceability. 

From the harvesting of our beans to their canning, less than 4 hours elapse!

Stage 2

The factory

The industrial process

In our factory, the vegetables are separated in order to eliminate any foreign body, then washed, trimmed and finally calibrated before the 3 essential stages.

  • Blanching: the beans are immersed in water at around 90°C for 2 to 5 minutes to preserve their nutritional quality, texture and colour.
  • Crimping: the blanched vegetables are canned with a juice composed only of water and a pinch of salt (no preservatives). The goal is to assemble the tin and the lid to obtain a sealed pack, guaranteeing food safety.
  • Sterilisation: 12 min at 127°C: this is the heat treatment needed to destroy micro-organisms and make the tinned products stable over time. The minimum storage life of a can is 3 to 4 years.

Throughout the process, several checks are carried out, including: size, taste and texture… everything is checked to guarantee you the best on your plate! The cans are then labelled before being shipped.
